Local congregations in India

A shared faith. A living community.

Our congregations bring people together for worship, biblical teaching, prayer and fellowship across southern India. Church life continues through the relationships and care people share with one another.

Church planting has been central to the ministry since Rev. Samuel K. Thomas returned to India with his family in 1991. Today, local congregations and the preparation of new leaders remain closely connected.

Local churches. A shared calling.

A place to worship.
A people to belong to.

The life of a church is found in its people: in their prayers, their attention to Scripture, their care for one another, and their willingness to serve their neighbors.

Since returning to India in 1991, Rev. Samuel K. Thomas has pioneered churches across the southern states. Church planting remains central to the mission, alongside the training of leaders who will carry the work into other communities.

Rooted in the Word. Dependent on the Spirit.

We gather to worship Jesus Christ, receive the teaching of Scripture, pray, and encourage one another in faith. Our Pentecostal life includes dependence on the Holy Spirit and a commitment to make Christ known.

The congregation pictured at Pentecostal Church of God, Alppara, is part of this ministry story. The other photographs offer glimpses of worship and prayer across the life of the churches.

“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
